Specialty Drug Program

Specialty drugs are those drugs that are generally, but not always, injectable drugs that you may receive at home or at your doctor’s office.  These include drugs used to treat Multiple Sclerosis, anemia and Rheumatoid Arthritis.  The Funds’ preferred provider for specialty pharmacy drugs is the CVS Caremark® Specialty Pharmacy.

Using the CVS Caremark® Specialty Pharmacy means that you will get personal attention from a pharmacist-led team that provides condition-specific education, instructions on how to take your medications properly, and expert advice on how to manage your drug therapy.   You will also have easy access to pharmacists and other health experts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We strongly encourage you to consider using the Funds’ preferred pharmacy to assist with your specialty medication services. Non-preferred specialty drugs will not be covered until all preferred drugs have been exhausted. Please see link below.

Call toll-free 1-800-237-2767 to transfer your specialty drugs to the CVS Caremark® Specialty Pharmacy.  For your convenience, CVS Caremark® will call your doctor and take care of the paperwork.   Representatives are available Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 9 PM, Saturday 9 – 4 PM  EST.

You can also contact the Funds’ Call Center toll-free at 1-800-291-1425.
