The Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Network consists of the following eight vendors who offer both local and national service through direct service or sub-networks to the majority of Funds' beneficiaries. Beneficiaries are required to get all of their DME, diabetic, and incontinence supplies from one of the following Funds DME Vendors:
|American Home Patient (AHP)
|Appalachian Regional Healthcare
|Community Home Care Services
|Cooley Medical Equipment
|Home Care Alliance of Virginia
|Medical Services of America
|Optum (formerly Hilios)
Speciality Vendor - Diabetic and Incontinence
Binson's Hospital Supplies 1-855-307-2973
Most DME is covered by the Funds, but beneficiaries must first have a doctor’s order, and must get the DME from a Funds DME Network Vendor. Some items require approval by the Funds. DME includes wheelchairs, hospital beds, commode chairs, oxygen equipment, walkers, bedpans, diabetic supplies, incontinence supplies (diapers and chux), as well as other medical supplies covered by the Funds.
Beneficiaries are not limited to the Network when obtaining other types of medical supplies. DME services obtained while a beneficiary is in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehabilitation facility are not subject to the program.
